Samsung in denial about S24 phone signal reception wants customers to bear the situation
Having appreciated Samsung Galaxy phones for years I decided to upgrade to an S24 in August, and bought one at a local Samsung store, For R21000. Soon after while touring, I realised it had poor signal detection, as my wife's A53 with the same SIM and Telkom contract, picked up signal while the S24 either didn't or struggled. This is easily demonstrated, and I see on Google many places complaining about the S24 series issue. I returned the phone twice and they've declared there's nothing wrong with it, and they won't accept that there is. I maintain it is not fit for purpose, as this is a safety issue, and I have a right to expect at least the same signal sensitivity as the A53 phone. I suspect Samsung knows there's a problem with these handsets and are digging in their heels hoping it will just go away. Meanwhile I sit with a horrifically expensive handset that frequently loses signal when not on wifi or in a strong signal area. The local Samsung shop staff are very helpful and sympathetic, but the Head Office don't care. Vaughn was the last guy who declared they won't do anything. I expect either a full refund or a phone that works properly. It took a month to realise there is a problem so for two months I've been trying to get satisfaction.
