Samsung has terrible service

I have to share my experience with Samsung customer care with other people considering buying a Samsung product. I bought a large Samsung TV in November 2020 which came with a two year warranty. To be safe, I purchased the extended warranty as well. In September 2021, the screen became blurry and soon after that the TV stopped working completely. Then began the process from hell to get customer service. After a visit from the technician, it took more than a month to return with the parts to get the TV to switch on. The technician confirmed that the screen was indeed faulty and will need to be replaced. He removed all the parts and said he will return again once he can replace the screen. He confirmed the following week that the screen can not be replaced and the TV will need to be exchanged. After numerous calls and several occasions where people gave me incorrect information, the exchange was approved. This took another 3 weeks to accomplish. I was told by the exchange department that I can get store credit or wait for a replacement. They were expecting new stock by the end of October. I decided to wait for an exchange since it will cost more to buy a similar type of TV than what I paid for it a year ago. In November when I again got no feedback from Samsung, I finally managed to speak to a manager at the exchange department named Kiki. To my utter shock, she shared the process that Samsung follows when they have to exchange a product. Samsung has one warehouse for exchanges. Even though they have many warehouses to supply stores, they will only do exchanges from this one warehouse. They also do not order the products that need to be exchanged and they have no idea when they will receive any products or what products will be included in the stock. They will under no circumstances take stock from their other warehouses to do an exchange. They can receive stock in a month or in six months. They are not able to even provide a date when my TV can be replaced. I asked whether they can at least order the exchange and the answer was "NO". Samsung obviously has no intention of honoring their warranties if they don't even have a process to order stock for customers waiting for exchanges. This is the worst service I have ever dealt with. You have to phone them constantly and escalating your query has no reaction either. No one at the exchange department are ever available and the call back promises are worth less than the warranty on the product you bought. This matter has been ongoing for months with no conclusion in sight. Why do I have to pay more money for a similar TV when I have a guarantee from the company that they will replace the TV in the event that Samsung can't fix it. I wish I knew that a warranty from Samsung was worth less than the paper it's written on when I bought the TV. The money I wasted on the extended warranty adds insult to injury. As a customer, you already loose confidence in the quality of a product when it breaks in less than a year for no apparent reason. Samsung has failed on every single point that constitutes even below average customer service. You do get the standard "I apologize for the inconvenience" with every call which is as meaningless as their promise to provide customer care once you have bought a product.
