Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 battery worse than eskom

I have had my samsung galaxy watch 4 for a month and a half now and the battery life is beyond pathetic.

I went on a 4 day hike and after being charged 100%, not linked to any phone and on power saving, it stopped measuring my hike after 7h02m35s. I could not record anything after as the battery died. The previous day i hiked close to 6hours and it had a low battery after i arrived to the huts. I had to charge it full every day and leave it off untill departure.

The settings are to measure heart rate continously and the location was on.

My friend, with ber 5 year old garmin, charged it before we started hiking the leopard trail on day 1 and only charged it again the last morning as it was on 30% then. She could measure 3 and a half days of hiking, total of 16,5hours of hiking and only use 70% battery. And her settings were identical to mine.

How can you have a smart watch with fitness settings and it gives in like that?

I simple can't hike more than 7hours as it won't register. What if i have no power or powerbank.

Even normal use when it is connected to my phone via Bluetooth, it lasts one day. I am very very disgusted with this watch.
