Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - Pink line across screen

I have a Samsung s7edge. a while ago it started making a pink line down the side of the screen. I took to Vodacom to have it repaired, I was advised R4700 that is more then what the phone is worth at the moment. I'm really disappointed as I went online and found thousands of similar complaints regarding the S7Edge. Now I have to sit with a phone that was at the time I got it R15 000 that is useless to me now.
