Samsung Galaxy S7

Good Day

At first when I bought my Samsung I was very excited to learn that you offer the ADH service free of charge. As careful as one can be with something you use everyday, I had the unfortunate mishap of dropping my phone face first on to ceramic tiles. Alas, I was not concerned because I knew that Samsung would speedily repair my device without any hassles. Man oh man was i wrong....

I contacted ADH and asked them to please collect my device for repairs, As far as I had known you received a replacement device to use while your handset was being repaired... The same device I am now typing this email on because I STILL DONT HAVE MY S7 BAC****!!

But it was not that easy getting this device as you might think. I had waited close to a month to receive a replacement handset, the reason being that Samsung simply just did not have enough handsets and all of them are out and I had to wait if i wanted one. Being a avid user of my Samsung I opted to wait for a replacement device as soon as they could supply me with one.

One day I was driving home from Pietermaritzburg to Ladysmith when I got a call from one of my good friends that i work with. He told me that there is a courier wanting to collect my phone????? I was shocked????? Did I miss something?? Was a appointment made with me to collect my phone? Was I told to backup my data as we are collecting your phone today to do the repairs on as you had asked. The answer is no. I had not been informed that they would be collecting on that day. I politely asked them to please turn around and inform me when they would collect, my wish was granted.

The second attempt was even more horrible than the first. I received a sms the morning that told me they would collect the phone today, I quickly backed up my data and saved what ever needed to be saved. Being the person I am, I contacted the courier company and asked what time would they more or less collect the phone from me. I was told between 2 and 3. All is well and my phone is going to be repaired, I was so excited!! Next thing I know not even half an hour after I made the call the courier is here to collect my phone??? WOW!! This guy must have teleported here because I was only expecting him at 2!!! Needless to say, I could not wait to receive another premium device to use from Samsung! Instead, the courier takes out of the box a white Samsung Galaxy S5, with no back cover and no battery.

At this stage I was in shock. Was I supposed to go and buy a functional battery and back cover for the phone to be able to use it? I called the ADH contact number, voiced my concern, where I was then told it must be a mistake I need to send everything back. I then did so. Another week passed and i was then informed they would be collecting today. Once again i was very excited about it!

All went well and smooth, the courier came out, collected my phone, gave me another Samsung Galaxy S5 which is black on colour and had a battery and even a back cover!! Even though the back cover was a golden back cover and did not match the phone but who cares!!!!

After about a week, on a Saterday morning, I receive a phone call for the repair centre, just to inform me that the phone has been received and that they are waiting for the parts to repairs the phone. I had no problem with that and I accepted it. At this stage my expectations about this service had been completely tarnished and I was glad that I opted for a replacement handset, this could have been my 3rd week with no handset to use at all.

So last week friday I sent a email to to ADH enquiring about the status of my device. The weekend passed with no answer and I received a reply on my email today.

The reply states that the entire delay is because my handset has a code(locked for security) and that is has not been forwarded to the repair centre as yet?

Now. Here is where I really get ****ed of after this entire ordeal. HOW HARD IS IT FOR YOU PEOPLE TO SEND A SIMPLE EMAIL REQUESTING THE CODE OR ALTERNATIVLY ASKING IF YOU MAY WIPE THE DEVICE TO CONTINUE WITH REPAIRS! SECONDLY WHY DO YOU NEED MY PERSONAL CODES TO ACCESS THE DEVICE TO SIMPLY REPLACE A CRACKED SCREEN? PEOPLE HAVE SENSITIVE DATA ON THEIR HANDSETS! AND NO ITS NOT MY **** SEARCH HISTORY! THIRDLY WHY WAS IT NOT CONFIRMED WITH ME THAT I NEED TO WIPE MY DEVICE FOR YOU TO CARRY OUT THE REPAIRS.

YOUR ADH SERVICE IS ABSOLUTE ****. TO BE HONEST.

Honestly I dont think I have a stick up my ass for nothing about this story. How on God's green earth can you guys, a multi million rand franchise, have absolutely no regard for the people buying YOUR PRODUCTS!! PEOPLE KEEPING YOU IN BUSINESS.

I need answers please. Yes and I also need my handet to be repaired at your earliest convinience.

Thank you.
Jan van der Linde.
