Samsung FALSE ADVERTISING
Bought 2 Note 20s on 7 November and was told we would get 2 Samsung 32 tvs. Samsung came up with all kinds of excuses and I even had to send copy of marriage certificate, with affidavit and tv license to proof that my husband and I are married. Hadto speak to no less than 6 different call centre agents and each one promise I'll get the link to claim Tvs with in 48 hours. 6 weeks later and no luck yet.....this is the worst service ever and totally false advertising.....don't advertise if you not prepared to honor your promises

30 Dec 2020, 10:33And yet an email yesterday from Samsung stated that my claim is rejected due to insufficient documents. All required documents were send before and your call centre agent Michael Bodlani confirmed last week with the verification dept that all documents were in order and I was promised a confirmation email this week......and I'm still waiting. Documents were send again yesterday!!!. All I can say...INCOMPETENCE OR IS IT JUST PLAIN FALSE ADVERTISING

31 Dec 2020, 09:55Latest from Samsung........
On 24th November got an email to state I must send either TV licence in husband name or affidavit stating we are married, please see below. This was done on 24th November.
image.png 34.51 KBAfter this got 3 telephonic confirmation that everything is in order and that I will get my link to claim tv within 48 hours. With reference to email above dated 29 Dec from Samsung " Your claim registration has been approved and shipping for your order has been requested. "
Today 31 December I'm told that they need a joint TV licence for me and my husband......according to Thabo Lethaba they can not proceed with the dispatch of the TV. Being told that according to SABC to licence need to be in my husband's name....as per SABC website..WHAT ARE THE VARIOUS TYPES OF TELEVISION LICENCE?
A: There are six types: 1] A domestic licence, previously known as a private licence, for households and/or individuals, authorising the use of the licensed set(s) at the user’s registered residential premises only;........can't understand why the licence should be in my husband's name...OUR FAMILY HAS MORE THAN ONE TELEVISION SET. HOW MANY TV LICENCES DO WE NEED? A: A single domestic licence is required per household, provided that: all sets so licensed are used only at the licence holder’s residential premises; all sets so licensed are used only by members of the licence holder’s family. SAMSUNG PLEASE TELL ME WHY I NEED A JOINT LICENCE AS IT DOESN'T EXIST OR WHY IT SHOULD BE IN MY HUSBAND'S NAME?
INCOMPETENCE- how can you 3 times confirm that everything is in order (go and listen to your recorded messages) and even confirming on hellopeter that "Your claim registration has been approved and shipping for your order has been requested. " and yet you come back and tell me I need a joint licence or another licence in my husband name and then blaming it on SABC instead of just saying......sorry we are ***********.....or is it something else.....false advertising/ ***** who knows?
Can someone from Samsung please get back to me to...... this sounds very much like false advertising.... False advertising is described as the crime or misconduct of publishing, transmitting, or otherwise publicly circulating an adverti*****t containing a false, misleading, or deceptive statement, made intentionally or recklessly to promote the sale of property, goods, or services to the public.
