Samsung Eastgate will Not see my custom again!
I bought a Samsung Galaxy A7 from Samsung Eastgate on the 27/12/2017 for R8199.00 . On the 18/02/2018 I had to take it in for a screen replacement after it fell on the floor, which cost R3900.00 to keep the warranty valid. When I got it back there was a thumb print on the inside of the camera lens and I had to get the technician to take the screen off again to clean. Then on the 15 March 2018 (1 month later) the screen went black. Googled the symptom and it was Software Malware. I went back once again to Samsung at Eastgate on the 16 March 2018, and they would not even look at it saying that I had dropped it to cause this, which I had not! I was told to pay R2800 upfront before they would even open it. I told them to forget it, in not so polite terms as I was furious that they would not even take it in to assess first and then quote. Did they not consider that they had replaced the screen (which was done twice by them) too tight to cause the software malware? So in total I paid R12099.00 for a phone that is 3 months old now lying in my draw. I will never buy another Samsung product again as the after service is **********, and the customer will always be treated with contempt.
