Samsung Eastgate - Shocking service
Recently purchased a Samsung tablet from the Samsung store in Eastgate. Just over two weeks ago I had to take it in as the screen would not come on. It was sent away for assessment. A week passed and I went to the store in Eastgate to find out what the problem was. I was told that there was a fault with the tablet and the LED light on the screen had gone and that they were waiting for a part to arrive from their warehouse. It would be ready by the next day. A couple of days later I had still not heard anything so I went to the shop again only to be told that they had ordered the part and were waiting for it. Another week passed and I contacted the head office customer service telephonically only to find out that the wrong part was delivered and that they were now waiting on a part from Korea. Not once did anyone from the store bother to phone me to let me know. This was a brand new tablet and by their admission there was a fault with this LED light so by rights they should give me a new tablet. To add this to I was told I have to pay R250 to get my data off the tablet if it cannot be repaired. Shocking service. If I don't get a response on the complaint I will take further action
