Samsung don’t honour their warranty
I bought a Samsung AO5 handset from PEP stores at the Midlands Mall in Pietermaritzburg in October 2024. Within a few months the handset intermittently started dropping network and I wasn’t able to receive or make calls. I took it to the Samsung service centre in Pietermaritzburg in April 2025 who then sent the handset to their warranty team in Durban. They rejected the request for repair citing the handset had been worked on previously, which it hadn’t. The service centre requested me to pay their R350 fee. I refused to do that and left the handset with them there to sell it and recoup whatever they want. I’m gravely disappointed by Samsung. I’ve owned a number of their devices and never had this sort of issue. The fact that they sell a faulty unit and then use ***** excuses to get out of repairing it is just shocking.
DON’T BUY SAMSUNG!
