SAMSUNG DEVICE SPECS ARE A LIE!!!!!!!

This happened on Saturday 17th August. My Samsung A30 slid on the table with some water on it and the phone flashed the 'water' sign - meaning water got into some part of the device. First thing is to put it in rice blah,blah, blah. The next is to take it to the service provider. I looked up the device ratings and specs - it's supposedly IP68 but NO. The TELKOM/MEGAWORXX reps tell me that I have to get it serviced for a fee of 50% the total cost of the thing. Not sure why that is SAMSUNG SA? Are your devices specs false/incorrect/ is this just companies trying to find any way to ***** consumers over?

Oh and I am not important enough for any of them to have a decent conversation with me because the device I bought is not on the high-end of their offerings. Really SAMSUNG?
