Samsung cellphone warranty claim issues
My Samsung A6+ warranty expired 17/8/2020, I only managed to log fault with Samsung a week later ("we are experiencing high call volumes etc". Covidg19 here we go. Over an hour holding on with music in my ears. Fault eventually logged a couple of days later and many phone calls later. They are not able to collect so I had to travel to the next town to Vodacom Repair Centre. The customer line was out of the door into the alley. 2 hour plus waiting time. So I called it a day and tried the next day. A week later I managed to book the phone in for repairs. Initially the phone hung/froze and apon reboot would not switch on. Vodacom said it was a screen fault and quoted R4000 to repair out of warranty. managed week later. Cellphone activated in MTN network 17/1/2019. So the cellphone actually worked less than 2 years. Samsung says they are not prepared to extend the warranty to cover the extra week even with me pleading that Covid-19 caused delays out of my control. All other countries are extending Samsung warranties to compensate the customers, but not here in South Africa. This has left a bitter taste and I will not recommend Samsung cellphones to anyone. I am very unhappy that one week out of warranty and they will not assist. No faith in their products.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Kindly be advised that the extension of warranty was only applicable when the service centres were not operating, the service centres started operating from June that is why the extension is not applicable.

Not an acceptable answer. Covid-19 has caused a ripple on delay. My call log shows that this cas alone has me spending over an hour on calls to your call center. See International Press release from Samsung stating a one month extension. A month would cover my phone. A week even.
