SAMSUNG BUY AND GET REWARD is PROMOTED with FALSE/MISLEADING ADVERTISING

I bought a Samsung fridge from Game in Beacon Bay on the 26/12/18 and the fridge was delivered to my home on the 31/12/18 whilst I was in Cape Town on holiday. My house sitter received the fridge ln my absence and I SMSed Samsung to register and claim my reward as per the promotional sticker on the fridge that advertised the reward that they were offering customers who purchased that particular model refrigerator. The advert boldly displayed their brand Samsung, the expiry date of the promotion being the 31/12/18, the choice of the rewards available, the value of the rewards and nothing else. I dealt with two salesmen for my purchase, one at the Game store in Vincent and the other at the Game store in Beacon Bay, and both advised me that I would qualify for the reward bonus if I purchased the refrigerator that I was interested in on or before the 31/12/18 and I would need to contact Samsung to claim my reward. The reason for dealing with the two stores was that I first approached the Vincent store who were out of stock and then was directed to the Beacon Bay store who sold and delivered the fridge to my home. My complaint is that when I SMSed my details to Samsung on the 08/01/19 to claim my reward they informed me that the promotion was closed and advised me to check the T&C’s on their website. The “small print” on their website advises that one needs to purchase, take delivery and claim one’s reward by the 31/12/18 to qualify, but the two salesman and the advert that boldly advertises their promotion only stipulates that one needs to only purchase the refrigerator by the 31/12/18 to qualify. I sent an email to Samsung via their website ON THE 11/01/19 and have attempted to contact them via their customer care centre without success. I am bitterly disappointed with Samsung as I have always regarded them as a reputable brand but in this case I believe they are running a **** by promising customers a lucrative reward, in my case a R4000.00 Mr.D voucher, but are attempting to deceive people with the “small print” and thereby assuring that many forfeit their reward through default. I trust that Samsung will do the right thing and provide me with a favourable result.
