Samsung "Buy and Get" deal farce

On the 30th December 2016, I completed the online form and uploaded the necessary proof of purchase and images to validate my claim for the "Buy and Get" offer. The claim was acknowledged by a text message which stated that it would take 10 working days to process the application and revert back to me. On 30 January 2017 (exactly a month and possibly 20 working days later) I received an e-mail which stated the following:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"We have reviewed your submission and your serial number image is incorrect. Please resend a new clear image of the serial number on the product (images of the serial number on the product will not be accepted), along with your name and your reference number to ********** />
Please make sure that you send the correct revised image by 31 January 2017. No late submissions will be allowed. Should you not meet this deadline, your entry will be forfeited."
......
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The second sentence of the the first paragraph is particularly astounding if you read it carefully: they first want a clear image of the serial number on the product, and then immediately state that the serial number on the product will not be accepted. Talk about confusion and contradiction.

Now the thing is, a day before the deadline - I receive such an email, and while being away on business I am expected to use a DSLR camera (beacause Samsung's employees have really poor eyesight) to snap a picture of the serial number on the product, of which will not be accepted according to your contradiction.

So what is it that you want? Seriously - you should really not come with excuses if you do not intend on fulfulling your end of the offer. This was basically a marketing gimmick to entice people without any intent of honouring the deal.

It was not my intention purchasing your product because of the "Buy and Get" deal, but more so because I thought the Samsung brand stood for integrity, trust and honesty besides quality.

You can keep your deal. I don't appreciate being duped. That's the end of Samsung products in my home.
