Samsung and MM All Electronics Parts ****!
MM All Electronics makes you order additional parts for your washing machine that you don’t need! Be very careful to just accept their quotes because chances are you are paying for a part/s that is working perfectly fine! No thorough diagnostic gets done. They diagnose based on noises they hear!
Samsung uses MM All Electronics technicians to come out and assess your machine if it has a fault (Midrand area) Just be aware that these technicians diagnose the machine by simply switching it on, checking for movement and listening for noise. (They no longer open your machine, check if there is a wiring problem, a simple on, off and noise check is all they need) This is how they diagnose the fault. The initial problem was that my machine’s drum was not spinning/moving at all during a cycle. After the technician did his thorough check (all the steps above) I was told I needed a new PC board and a drain pump. After attempting to purchase a new machine, and explaining to different sales people why I need one, I was advised to rather get a second opinion as it sounded like a motor related problem. My machine is 1 Year out of warranty so I was very reluctant to pay almost R5000 towards fixing it. After getting a different technician to come out (who opened the machine, and did a more thorough check) it turns out that I did need a new PC board, but that my drain pump worked perfectly fine.
I filed a complaint about MM All Electronics to Samsung not doing thorough checks and charging people for additional parts due to failure to do proper checks and their response was that their technicians are well trained and in most cases they know what parts are needed. “Sorry about that” is how Samsung deals with their **** of a parts/technician supplier!
Will never buy the brand again knowing that when there is a fault, the customer has to most likely pay for parts not needed to fix the problem!
Be sure to always get a second opinion before paying for anything...
Your team did an “investigation” by simply making a call to MM All Electrician's and then called me back to say that there is nothing they can do about this, and that they stand by what the technician says.
Also, that they have to unfortunately close the case.
No repercussions for your supplier and no alternative solution for your customers (perhaps sending out a technician from a different supplier to check the facts, after all we pay R550 for an honest assessment?)
I shall send through an email, but it doesn’t seem like that will help me much at this point.
