Samsung ADH Not What It's 'Cracked Up' To Be

I handed my Galaxy S4 I9500 in to MM Electronics yesteday. They are a Samsung Accredited repair centre, listed on the Samsung site. The screen was cracked and I still am under the 24 month warranty they give for my cellphone.

Today I received a call saying that it would cost me R2900 to repair the screen. My phone is rooted, which I know voids my Samsung Warranty, but nowhere on the Samsung site does it say that it also voids my ADH warranty. I also scoured the internet and found many people who say that their Samsung branch gladly repaired their phone even though it was rooted. Another site quoted the Samsung COO, stating that the ADH repairs would be done with no questions asked. What does software have to do with a phone falling and cracking a screen? It disgusts me to see that Samsung would try to find any reason not to fulfill their promise.

I received the "Final Decision" from Samsung South Africa today, in PDF format, with some signatures on it. Their decision, "The device will not be covered by Warranty." Their reasoning, "The device has been rooted. Samsung cannot verify the authenticity of the device therefore the repair can not be covered by Warranty.
I've read through all the warranty information that came with the phone. Nowhere does it state that rooting the phone will void ANY warranty. This leads me to believe that by refusing my warranty claim, Samsung are in breach of contract. What action can I take against them?
