Samsung ADH: Cheap Gimmick

I sent my Galaxy S4 I9500 to the Konstantia Kloof Repair Centre last week. The screen was cracked and I still am under the 24 month warranty they give for my cellphone.

A few days later, I received an email saying that it would cost me R2000 to repair the screen. My phone is rooted, which I know voids my Samsung Warranty, but nowhere on the Samsung site does it say that it also voids my ADH warranty. I also scoured the internet and found many people who say that their Samsung branch gladly repaired their phone even though it was rooted. Another site quoted the Samsung COO, stating that the ADH repairs would be done with no questions asked. What does software have to do with a phone falling and cracking a screen? It disgusts me to see that Samsung would try to find any reason not to fulfill their promise.

Other problems I am having: battery problems (which was always the case but became more apparent recently when the battery swelled) and a \Tact"button problem which Samsung wants to charge me 700 to fix.

Samsung has left me with a bitter taste and I will now think twice before purchasing any electronics from them. Customer Satisfaction seems to be not so important to them."""
