Samsung A53 5G failed water resistance test
I purchase a Samsung A53 5G about 3 months. I was informed that the device is water resistance (of course with some caveat, i.e., it must be freshwater, and the water must not be more than 1.2 metres). I decided to test the water resistance of the phone by placing it in a bucket full of water. Considering the fine line of the terms and conditions of the phone. However, the phone ceased to work few minutes after I took it out of the bucket of freshwater. I contacted Samsung and I was advised to take the phone to one of their repair centres. The technical report confirmed that the phone contacted water. It is common cause that the phone contacted water. Samsung informed me that since the phone contacted water, I forfeited the warranty that comes with the device. After I informed Samsung that I am not claiming under warranty because the phone failed the water resistance in line with its specification, Samsung had the nerves to informed me that if the phone failed the water resistance, then it is because the sim tray was not inserted probably if not at all. I consider such damn allegation as they cannot proof the same. The last time I used Samsung when they produced the S5. I regret ever going back to Samsung and will not advise anyone to purchase their products. I am aware that their tv have been proven to be faulty but did not expect that from their device.
