S7 Edge , not a mobile device at all

I recently researched mobile phones that suite my lifestyle as I was due an upgrade. After much research online I opted for the Samsung s7 edge , as its marketed as an IP68 waterproof device and there are some videos showing it to be pretty resillient to a fall.

Two weeks into my rather expensive 24 month contract , the device slipped from my hand at around knee height while bending trying to plug it into the charger on the ground .

The front screen glass shattered and I was gobsmacked .

Attempts to register and send the device back to the ADH premium dept have been a joke . They say they have no loan phones and I should contact the local repair agent ( they say they have no spares yet (LOl )from Samsung , and confer that the ADH "premium " service is not working ) I am guessing demand for screen replacements wayy outstrip the ADH capability currentlyt

I even tried to contact Vodacom who take zero reposibility for this product and just want to milk long term clients for a massive full contract cancellation and dont even try and escalate ( I was placed on hold for a supervisor that never came to the call Ha Ha Joke , spent an hour holding on a number of attempts.

Although the phone still works , and I am a month into the post cracked screen , what about water and dust intrusion into the device now ?? I guess that will be the next excuse used by the manufacturer.

My advice if you want to carry a mobile phone at all , dont get the Samsung s7 edge , which in my mind cannot be called mobile at all. I should have gone with the Cat phone as this seems like the only device that can truly be called mobile resilient .
