Refused to fix my tablet :-(

I've always been Samsung fan. I currently have Grand Neo Plus which is still in good shape but I bought my Galaxy Tab3 Lite on the 28-04-2016. On Tuesday morning I switched my mobile data but when I tried to change whatsapp profile pic I couldn't. It say no network available. I switched tablet off and back on - no luck. I opened sim card slot and realized I couldn't take mysim card out, it was stuck. Wednesday I took it to Samsung Pavillion Mall. They told me pin that holds the simcard might be broken and I have to pay cash because it is physical damage. If I don't accept quote, they will charge R150. How can it be physical damage because you can't even open the tablet. I did not break anything. I am so disapoiunted and fustrated.
