Refusal to replace faulty Samsung A5
During December 2015 I lodged a complaint at Vodacom Jeffreys Bay in Fountains Mall that I have no reception at home and limited anywhere I drive, whilst my husband with the exact same phone has full signal. They told me that it is the busy network over December. Thus, after season when the problem persisted I reported the Samsung A5 phone in January 2016. Vodacom immediately did a Sim swop. When that was unsuccessful they sent the phone in for repairs in PE. It has subsequently been in for repairs multiple times. First the motherboard was replaced and finally the signal receiver unit. The manager at Vodacare, Darren Betts confirmed that they did fix the phone and everything appears to be working. Unfortunately the phone still doesn't work and despite Vodacom's best efforts and excellent support service. Samsung refuses to replace the faulty device. I'm still paying for the phone monthly and it is still under warranty. The lack of service from Samsung has even sparked the annoyance of Vodacom and they can't stop to apologise on behalf of Samsung. I'm utterly disappointed and disgusted at Samsung's attitude and lack of service. It has been 6 weeks. I have photos to confirm.
