Redeeming my Samsung TV after I bought a Note 20 Ultra

In reviewing previous posts on this site and numerous complaints on Facebook I see that I am not the only one who has been having issues with the absolutely terrible service offered by Samsung SA's Customer Care unit.....

I bought a Samsung Note 20 Ultra cell phone on 27 November 2020 with a so called free 32 inch Samsung TV which could be claimed from their website which I did on the same day. To date I am still awaiting the TV and have spent hours dealing with Samsung Customer Care on their website, on the phone, and directly with staff from their customer care center. The time I have spent trying to sort things out with Samsung has almost definitely been more than the value of the supposed free TV itself!

I have been passed from pillar to post with the same information having to be provided to Samsung SA on several different occasions, first I had to resubmit the proof of purchase which I did, then I was was told my TV license had expired (which it hadn't), now it appears I am back to square one again 2 months down the line as I was requested earlier this week to resubmit my proof of purchase again for about the 3rd or 4th time… I have asked to be provided with contact details of a senior manager that I can speak with on several occasions but this specific request is just constantly ignored. For anyone reading this don't be sucked into Samsung's promotions offering a "free" TV with your purchase, it is clear from my experience that they will make it as difficult as possible for you to claim it and you will be passed from pillar to post. This is false advertising Samsung SA!

In my experience it is clear that Samsung SA management have absolutely no regard for their customers and it is also clear that Samsung SA have absolutely no working systems in place to mange consumer complaints effectively (they will however probably blame it on COVID-19 as per the introductory message when calling their Customer Care Line). I have documented all of my correspondence backwards and forwards with the various staff members I have had to deal with at Samsung and I will in this regard be lodging a compliant with the National Consumer Commission and encourage everyone experiencing similar problems to do the same as this type of service is unacceptable, especially from large and well know organization like Samsung.

As of today I still do not know if I am going to be getting my so called "free" TV....

Terrible, terrible terrible service Samsung SA!
