Query on mt Galaxy S5

During the December holidays 2016 my Samsung Galaxy S5 fell into a small puddle of water, I picked my phone up and dried it with a cloth thoroughly and even went so far by putting it in a bowl of rice for 24 hours. When I tried to switch on my device, I've noticed that there are power but the LCD Screen is all black. According to Samsung the S5 is IP65 rated which means the phone was tested to be water-resistent for up to 1m in depth and maximum 30min.

On Saterday 4 Feb 2017 I went to Samsung Menlyn (located in New World) to book my device in for testing and repairs. Tuesday14 Feb 2017 I recieved a sms requesting me to respond on the quote regarding my device, I had to call Samsung on ********** just to get the quotation. I spoke to a guy named Melcome and he confirmed that the repair cost on the Main Board will be round about R4000 and that the main board as well as the pc board will be coverd but for the screen it will be an estimated amount of R2200 which will not be covered. I requested him to send me the exact quote and found that the screen will cost me R1600 to repair.

After my conversation with Melcome I've decided to contact customer support where I demanded to speak to a manager. A lady by the name of Fezeka Kubeka offered to take my case and said she will look into itbut will also be working hand in hand with a lady called Romona from the Voice Of Customer (VOC).

Romona contacted me on the 17th with news that angered me in so many ways. According to the technition who did the survey on my device, he noted that the main board, pc board and screen was indeed damaged by liquid. Now that I do understand but he also noted that my screen was cracked...I stopped Romona and corrected her that my device had a glass screen protector on that was cracked, not the screen itself but the protector. Romona said she will take it up with the technition again and she will give me feedback.

Its the 21st of Feb today and still no feedback from Romona or Fezeka. Why is Samsung so unprofessional regarding my query and is there anybody out there from Samsung that will be able to assist me or must I take action and put it on social media and the papers???
