Proof of purchase for a tv bought online - will never again do that
So I bought a tv set, 55" via vodacom on black friday 2019. The set has now started giving problems. I contacted Samsung as I know that my tv is still under warranty. SSo the first thing the consultant did was ask me for model and serial number of the tv...after verifying the set he mentioned that the system shows that the tv set is still covered. He then asked me to provide a proof of purchase. I dont have one as the only document I received from RTT the day they delivered was a delivery note. Then he says that they will not accept it I have to get a proof of purchase. I contacted vodacom and they claim that there is no proof of my purchase, It was escallated, however to this day, no luck with Vodacom. So thanks to Vodacom and Samsung I have now bought myself a dud, it still works, but with a dark line just left from the middle. What do I do or do I just accept that Samsung turns their back on you because of a piece of paper...? Not a great experience and I will definitely rather consider buying another brand the next time,
