Poor service

I recently went to the Samsung service centre in Woodmead to have a broken galaxy S5 mini screen repaired. I was told I need to show proof that the phone belongs to me by means of my cellphone contract. I have 5 cellphone numbers registered in my name, which means 5 cellphones. I do not carry my cellphone contracts around with me.

My wife's uses this phone and she accidently dropped it and the screen cracked.

I told them that surely they could check and see if the phone has been ****** or not. I did have my latest invoice with me indicating the cellphone number/Sim Card which was in the phone.

To make matters worse a friend of mine referred me to the service centre as he had his cracked screen repaired there. He said all he did was walk in fill out a form and his phone was then repaired. Also my son recently also had his Galaxy S5 repaired at a Samsung store, all he needed was a copy of the account and a copy of my ID document.

What has changed suddenly that one needs to produce a cellphone contract?

Very unhappy with Samsung Smart care centre Woodmead. All I want is the broken/cracked screen to be repaired as according to the warranty policy no more no less
