Phone Repairs

I bought a new phone at Game store in January 2019.

My phone is now blank and screen cracked due to car accident, and Samsung used to replace screen for free and I was under the impression that my phone will be fixed without costs. I then phoned their customer care to book my phone IN and They said my i must take my phone to MTN store. I then went to the store (MTN Phuthaditjhaba) they didnt refused to book my phone In reason being Imei number is not on their purchase records, i then went to game store they told me about courier costs etc plus costs to repair my phone.

Can Samsung assist me regarding this matter as I am using my phone for business and advice whether there's costs as my phone is less than 12 months old
