PATHETIC SERVICE FROM SAMSUNG

I wish I could give them a 0 rating!!!! Hearing " Samsung" generally shouts out " reliability " " Assurance" " Guarantee " " Best mobile Phones". However this is clearly not the case! I wanted to take this to social media, however I decided to send you guys an email first. I purchased a Samsung Grand Prime Pro on the 27th of May 2018 ( less than a year ago ) I was told that the phone comes with a 2 year warranty. Oh yay! That's awesome I thought! Well clearly not the case!

The last 2 months I have been having an issue with the Wi-Fi selection. Sometimes it selects sometimes it does not work. Frustrated with it , I decided to call your Samsung repair centre in Nandi Drive Riverhorse Valley Durban. They had asked me to drop the phone off and would call me back once they have identified the problem. 3 days later and no call. I decided to call and find out what the problem was and whether it could be fixed. The Technician assigned to my phone was Wezley. When I decided to call he was not at work and I spoke to the dept manager who assured me the phone would be repaired and ready for me to collect on Thursday. I have a telephone recording with him , I asked him if he had seen the phone and sure it could be repaired. Yes he said. Come Thursday I receive a call from Wezley to say the phone has a " crack" on the screen and the warranty falls away. Why did the manager not advise me of this of Tuesday? I know for a fact that my screen was not cracked. Nevertheless he quoted me R1900 to replace the motherboard and a further R1000 to replace the so called cracked screen. How absurd for a phone that costs R2000! So I rejected the quote. I was smsed stating I could pick up my phone and I would need to pay R150 incl vat for the quotation etc. Annoyed I agreed! Upon collection of my phone today, I am now told I need to pay R185 ???? " vat" was their excuse? Even it was for vat how much vat does Samsung charge compared to the rest of South Africa??? Clearly not 15%. Further more the sms clearly stated including vat it was R150! I picked up the phone and paid R185. Please see attached a picture of my phone and show me exactly where my screen is cracked, explain the sms that I have attached as well as the invoice received! All telephone calls with Samsung is available on request!.

My questions to you Samsung SA is :

Why offer a warranty if you guys will find excuses to not repair?

If the motherboard was to be repaired (which I understand is expensive) why not be truthful and tell me that it's going to cost you guys too much to fix instead of make and excuse that my phones warranty falls away?

Seriously I cannot understand how a company with so many loyal customers can be so unsatisfying! I expect a report from you guys before I post this on social media and let people know what kind of service Samsung offers to their customers! Clear case of over promising and under delivering !

That is the email sent to Samsung! and a week later they are still giving me the run around even after providing them with voice recordings, physical proof. they still dont care . How can samsung literally rob their clients? Pathetic for such a big name, Their staff scream an are really ***********!
