Not honouring Warrantee

I bought a Samsung flatscreen tv in December 2015. December of 2016 I one day noticed a blue line running vertically across the screen. January 2017 I subsequently took the television in to the store where I bought it and they sent it through to Sansung for me. I received a call a few days later from the store consultant inquiring as to whether I had somehow caused the damage or if I had any ****roach infestation as from the feedback he had received from Samsung, either of these two was the cause of the problem. I did nothing to the tv to physically cause the damage, nor do I have a ****roach infestation (feeling insulted at the insinuation). He stated he would relay my response to Samsung.

Again a few day latser, the store consultant calls me back - Samsung is charging me R4100 to fix the tv as according to them, the problem resulted due to physical damage - once again, I did not cause any physical damage to the tv. I told the store agent to please then get the tv back from Samsung as I am NOT willing to pay that money to fix a tv I did not break AND for the money charged to fix, I can go out and buy a new one (Which would not be a Samsung), he tells me that they will most likely then charge me a transport fee to return the tv should i NOT accept the quote. So now not only is Samsung not going to honour their warrantee, they are holding my tv hostage....to at least get some money ****** from me.

This is my first flatscreen TV, which I excitedly bought myself as a birthday gift - I have NOT caused ANY physical damage to it - surely there would be some indication of damage to the exterior if this had been the case (to which the store consultant can attest there was none), it stands safely on a tv stand out of the walkway, where none of my animals can reach - I also do not have children. I simply noticed the line one day while watching tv.

I have done some research and found a multitude of instances where Samsung uses this as reason to NOT honour the Warrantee. . . I will take this as far as possible, as Samsung is plain and simply *****ing money from and bullying hard working ppl by supplying inferior products and then refusing to fix these inferior products at their cost.
