Not honouring promotion

<p>I purchased a samsung product for the buy and get promotion , the promotion states that the promotion code is valid for a year from date of receiving the code , i received my code on the 9th of May 2016 which means it should have expired on the 9th of May 2017 , upon trying to redeem my code i was told it has expired on the 31st of March 2017 as the promotion ended on thay date , nowhere on any of the samsung literature did it state that the code is only valid until the 31st of March 2017 , it only stated that it is valid for 1 year from date of issue which should have been the 9th of May 2017. Samsung is not honouring the deal and i feel as a consumer i am being given a raw deal as i cannot use what should rightfully be mine to use. Upon contacting samsung i was merely told it is expired even though i didnt use it and that is the end of it, i feel samsung should have at least offered to make it up somehow as they have dishonoured their promotional offer. I would also like to add that i did try and use the code before the 9th of May expiry and could not due to samsung not honouring and reneging on their promotional offer. This is unfair to me as the consumer and until such time i will be buying from competitors and will be advising everyone i know to do the same</p>
