No product support

Stay away from Samsung products. There is zero support for their products in South Africa. I have a Samsung Note 3 which firmware has become *******ed. I have searched the Internet and phoned Samsung to try to find the stock firmware of the Note 3 to reload it. I have found the stock firmware as well as firmware updates for the Note 3 in all countries except South Africa. This phone was launched in SA in September 2013, and there is still no firmware update. That clearly shows that Samsung does not support this product and has no interest in fixing bugs or improving the device. I was advised to take the device to a service centre for them to look at the phone....waiting time 4 hrs. Why must I go to a service centre, book in my phone, sit without a phone for who knows how long, and pay to reinstall the firmware, when I can do it for myself at home? All I need is for Samsung to make the stock firmware available for downloading. But no, Samsung wants you to come in to waste your time and charge you further fees, to fix a software problem, which is their fault anyways. I was looking forward to upgrading to the Note 4, but I will now bid farewell to all Samsung products.
