Is Samsung products made to last for 36 months

I purchased a Samsung LED television set from Hirschs in BAllito. After using the set for a while i began getting horizontal line and distorted picture on my set.After complaining to Hirsch a technician from a company called Technfix came and told me that the power cables were faulty.After changing the power cables the problem persisted.When i complained again i was told that the warranty on the product had expired and i will have to pay for the repairs.After checking with a reputable technician i was informed that the screen was faulty and it cannot be repaired. I am so dissappointed because had the technicion from Technifix picked up the problem before the warranty expired i would have had that set replaced. Now its R5,500 down the drain as the television cannot be repaired. I will never purchase another Samsung product again.
