******ion

I am writing this mail with utter disappointment in Samsung s repair and warranties . My daughter bought herself a phone after saving up for a year , the phone was purchased on the 12 of December 2022. Since March we have been having a problem with Wassapp calls where she can hear us on a video call but we cannot hear her . I sent the phone in on 14/4/2023 to be repaired after a month of no communication , I am told that Samsung will not honour the warranty as there is a crack on the screen , and I must pay the quoted amount of R1550 to repair the phone. Now having paid R 2000 for the phone I told them not to worry about it. On the 11th of May I went to collect the phone in town , and upon asking what is wrong with the phone I get told they have not checked the problem yet. This prompts me to ask what did you quote me on then , "The screen replacement" so I tell them I don't want the screen replaced as it is a microphone / software problem and get told they are not allowed to work on a phone unless the screen is repaired even though I'm willing to pay Samsung to repair the problem on my daughters phone . This just sounds like straight up ******ion as I cannot get the phone repaired or even looked at until I pay for a screen which I don't need . As a loyal Samsung user I will never support your products again if this is how you conduct business.
