Information with held

So i got a note8 on December 2017 and was informed only about how the glass of the screen have been upgraded to be more durable. About two weeks ago the phone fell and wonder by wonder the screen is broken, not only broken it fell holes in it! So i went to the samsung repair centre to have it fixed since they do the one screen repair within 12 months of purchase. There is was told that they do not do that anymore since they now have something called SAMSUNG MOBILE CARE (SMC). I was asked do i have this cover. I re**** no I do not what is it? Apparantly it is like insurance for your phone on the screens and what else and i should have been informed about this when i purchased the phone. I was not informed about the SMC not was i informed that the Screen replacement for free within in the 12months was stopped. Now they want to charge me R 4 500.00 for screen replacement and they do not want to register me on SMC since that also has to be done within 30 days from date of purchase. Phoned Samsung for assistance and they do not want to help me they blame the store where i got the phone . When i got my phone it was in the hands of a SAMSUNG representative who was telling me all this wonderful things about the phone but not once did he utter the words SMC or ADH. Samsung should acknowledge the mistake from their side and own up for not telling customers about the SMC up front.
