I bought my wife a liability, factory defect if I say

On the 8th of December 2016 I decided to spoil my wife with a Samsung Tab A6 10.1 since she's been having issues with her previous phone. She was so excited and I figured it will take another 3 years or so until we have a phone purchase in the house. To my demise - I did not know I'm buying trouble, the phone worked perfectly for 6 months and our problems started.

She started complaining about the screen turning black now and then and I took it in for repairs at Samsung mobile, Mall of the North. The phone returned as if it worked perfectly and three months down the line it did the same thing again, this happened three times almost concurrently every three months. The third time I picked it up I eventually asked what the problem was with the phone because I keep bringing it in for the same issue ("it was the LCD screen Mr Bopape but it has been replaced, we had to do a software update this time around") said one the consultants at the store. I don't know what the screen and software have to do with each other?????

I'm am now again repeating the process for the fourth time and I'm sick of it. The phone has been assessed over the past times I've dropped it off and there is no foul play, we have taken care of then with due diligence. I am not happy with this phone and it is such an inconvenience for my wife as she depends on it to work. Phone phone that has been in for repairs 4 times in a year for the same thing is not worth having.

I've spent R6 499.00 on this peace of **** and I actually want my money back or an exchange for a phone of the same value (even if it's refurbished) I don't want to deal with this kinds of issues when there's other things to do.

I do not want it anymore.

Samsung South Africa is very unreliable, I've received one phone call which was inconclusive. I was told an investigation is underway and I will receive a phone call with solid feedback, NOTHING. I received a phone call from Cell clinic a week ago and they told me that Samsung needs to replace the device for free however, I need to make payment to fix a small crack on the screen. Now I was quoted about two months ago @ around R1200.00 or so and today I'm told it will cost me R3000.00 and the reason for the price change is company policy and price escalation. Are you guys telling me that you have hiked your prices @ over 120% in the past three to four months? I was shocked by this and asked to speak with a supervisor, who I was advised would call me. I'm still waiting - I think it's time I give you guys bad publicity through social media and campaign it thereof for you to take me seriously. I've been very patient with your nonsense and you taking my kindness for weakness. I want feedback within 24 hours or else we will see what happens.

No response to my last update. Wow Samsung is good at hanging their clients to dry, I can't express the dissapointment.
