I bought a 70 inch Samsung TV (model code UA70TU7000KXXA) (serial number 014G3FAR400137P) and used it well (it was a little slow) until the month after the warranty expires it literally just stopped working. The screen was barely visible. No one touched it. There was nothing that happened. It just worked and then stopped. I queries the store that I bought it from and many other service providers including Samsung themselves and was basically told that the cost to repair it would be the price of buying a new television and that it's not even worth doing so. Not to mention I am now sitting with it, basically junk, and collecting dust having just lost R16000 for 2 years of use. Absolutely pathetic product and the after service is even worse. I would hope that Samsung would do something to assist me in terms of a new TV or something towards one as this is terrible. I highly recommend against buying any Samsung TV because it seems that their policy is to have products that work until the warranty expires. I've seen many many other reviews of this being the case. Instead of spending their budget on marketing they should consider investing that in making quality products instead of swindling customers who can just about afford these devices.

I received the usual call about "assisting" me. I was asked about when my warranty expires and when I logged a complaint. If they took the time to read my complaint they would know it has nothing to do with the warranty but the fact that it expired and not too long after the TV broke. I was told about a "grace period" to assist me but it sounded like more corporate nonsense. Apparently if I did not log the complaint soon enough then "I'd be liable for the cost of repair". Amazing how they still think I'd even consider giving them another cent. When they never even once responded to me initially when I complained, in fact I was told directly that they couldn't do anything. Now there is a "grace period" because I've made public what they refused to assist me with privately. Pathetic. Anyway, their pathetic call agent asked me about a POP, which I needed time to check on and gave an idea of when I bought the TV and when I complained. Instead of checking any "records" they have she insisted on me getting the POP, which I do not keep stapled to my face. Awful service from an awful company. I'll be shocked if I get anything out of it, but I do hope that this helps in others not purchasing their ****py products. Stop reading a script and read the message from your customer. This won't be a waste of my time if it helps others realise that this kind of corporate bull deserves to go. Making nothing affordable should be Samsung's motto

Zero attempt to even get back to me. Even though I have a mail on 2 Nov 2019 sent to samsung with zero help. They wanted proof there it is.

Good day,

I needed to please reach out to you at Samsung to show my disappointment in your product. I bought a brand new Samsung TV 70" (UA70TU7000KXXA) around two and half years ago and only a few months after the warranty has expired, the TV just stopped working. There was nothing done to it. In fact it was working and the next thing it stopped working. See pictures attached. I contacted and conversed with all Samsung agents and was told that either it could not be fixed or that it would cost the same amount as buying a new TV to fix it.

This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing and I am now sitting with an expensive television which is pointless and worthless. I need someone at Samsung to either fix my television for me or reimburse me somehow because it failing only a few months after the warranty expired is too convenient for Samsung and very frustrating for myself.

I have the TV with me. Please can you reach out and assist me in resolving this issue urgently.

Thanks

Samsung make it as painful as possible to get in touch with them, and then proceed to **** clients off so that they drop it.

Not to mention the amount of calls that I was on prior to this email sent to them. All I got was a catty "agent" who was about as helpful as a toothpick.
