Galaxy Note20 TV Promo - Pathetic service/Zero accountability

I upgraded my cellphone contract on the 20 September 2020 to a Galaxy Note 20+ and was advise that I qualified for a free gift under a current promotion. This was meant to be a 32" inch TV. I submitted all relevant documentation to Samsung on the 21/09/20 and waited the normal 6 to 8 weeks for the delivery. I was called by Samsung on 29th October and asked to submit a copy of my ID to ***, which I duly did. On the 11 of November I received an automated e-mail from Samsung saying the ID submitted does not match the TV licence details. I submitted the corrected ID and then nothing else happened. After receiving no response I decided to call Samsung. I was promised a response and a call back within 2 days and nothing happened. I continued e-mailing *** for a response and still nothing happened. I called back 07th January and was again promised feedback and was still not contacted. After further calls back and forth I was told the TV licence account which is under my spouses name must be a joint account and that I must contact SABC and amend the details to have both my name and that of my spouse. I duly contacted the SABC and they confirmed that they do not change names on accounts and that our household does have a valid TV licence (under my spouses name) and that all I needed to do was submit a copy of my marriage certificate and that if Samsung had an issue they could call her. the agent provided a written e-mail to this effect with her contact details. I provided this evidence to verify @samsung.com, called the agent to confirm such a response from SABC and was told someone would come back to me. Again no response. I called again on the 19/01/21 and again was given a run around, I asked to speak to someone in charge and was told that they couldn't get hold of the supervisor. The agent called me a while later to confirm some details and told me that a senior person would be on contact with me. Needless to say this was just another empty promise. To date no response from Samsung.

Got a call back from Samsung on the on the 22 Jan saying that a claims manager was going to look into my complaint. Consultant called me on 25 Jan and went through my complaint and now mentioned that I was advised incorrectly that I must go take out seperate TV licence and pay again for taking out that licence and then merge this account to that of my spouse. They unwilling to what SABC has mentione dto em in a e-mail regarding TV licence validity and insist on me buying a new licence.
In my opinion you are just trying to avoid redeeming valid promotions by making your own TV licence rules. You can keep your TV. I refuse to beg and run around for something you promised as a gift. I will be moving back to buying Sony/Defy for my household appliance and will move to mobile device Apple once this contract is over.
