Free screen hoax
One of the main selling points of the Samsung Cell Phone range is the inclusion of the two free screen repairs. For me it was certainly the deciding factor.
Upon handing in the phone for a screen repair it went through the usual book in process and it was written on the book in sheet that minor damage was visible to the aluminium frame around the phone.
I was told that it would take a day or 2 for the phone to be repaired, however at the end of the second day, the phone had not even made it to the technician.
After my complaint, the phone repair process started. At the end of the third day I received an email for a quote of R998.00 for the replacement of the aluminium casing. The same casing that was said to have minor damage.
I went to see the damage to which they were referring. The damage was minor and was not the source of the crack, when I expressed my concern that the technician may be unfair, I was threatened with a waiver form.
I asked speak to a manager, I was told he was too busy to see me, the director was also asked to give me a call and was further cc'd in the reply to my email.
To Date no correspondence! I sincerely request some customer service please!!!
