Feedback on R2000 Gift Voucher Promotion

Dear Samsung South Africa Team,

I am a long-time supporter of Samsung and have always appreciated the quality of your products and services. However, I feel compelled to share my disappointment with your recent R2000 gift voucher promotion.

The process of claiming the voucher was already time-consuming, taking over a week. When I finally received the voucher, I was disappointed to find that it required splitting the value across multiple brands—Jeep, Superdry, Hurley, Reebok, Diesel, and Samsung—each capped at 30%. This structure forces customers to spend additional money at these stores instead of offering the straightforward value of R2000 as advertised.

In the past, Samsung allowed 100% of the voucher to be used on your products, which made the promotions both practical and rewarding. This new system feels restrictive, confusing, and less beneficial to loyal customers like myself.

To make matters worse, merchants such as Telkom were unaware of how this promotion worked, adding unnecessary frustration to the process.

I strongly urge Samsung South Africa to reconsider this approach in future promotions. A direct discount on Samsung products or a voucher usable entirely on your offerings would be far more transparent, customer-friendly, and in line with the trust we’ve come to expect from the Samsung brand.
