I have a Samsung S7 Edge, that ended up in a swimming pool (1.2m) for less than 3 mins. The phone now boots continously into Recovery mode, and has clearly water damage. After contacting Samsung SA directly, I was transferred to ADH. With ADH, I was told that I have to pay to have the phone repaired (even before taking it in to a repair centre), as this is not covered by ADH.

I feel that this should be repaired by Samsung regardless, considering the widely advertised IP68 rating of the phone, which it clearly did not live up to.

Good day
I have received an initial email communication from Sthembiso Kunene, who advised me which centre to take the phone to. Since, I have followed up three times, but he has not responded since 26 May.
Is the next step to lodge a complain with ASA?

Although no further communication was received from Sthembiso, phone was repaired.
