Expectations created but not honoured

I went to Game Welkom today and was informed by the Samsung sales agent who was on duty at the Samsung stand that I could qualify for R5000 off a 55 inch Q7F QLED tv. The tv was on display in the Samsung stand for R19 999. I was in two minds about buying the tv but the R5000 discount made it very appealing. I asked my sister who has a S9 phone if she would help me buy the tv as she has not used the Forthegame voucher. I was extremely exited about the tv only to have my dreams shattered when, after all the hype that had been built up by the salesman regarding how exceptional the tv was, nothing came of it as Game knew nothing of the promotion. After doing some research the salesman informed me that Game was not participating in the promo. I would expect a company the size of Samsung to honor expectations created by its Sales staff.
