Don't buy Samsung QLED tv's (Mura effect)
Bought a Samsung 75" QE1D 4K QLED Smart TV with 4K Upscaling & Game Motion Plus model QA75QE1DAKXXA on take a lot. After a while noticed white spots on dark scenes while watching movies/series. It was past the 30 day period for take a lot return policy thus needed to contact Samsung customer services. With initial "ticket" the technician assigned made contact and I send him the pictures/videos of the TV. He did not reply or even informed me what was happening. Never came out to inspect the TV as well. Just received a message on my phone that ticket is closed.... I phoned in again to find out what was happening as no one is speaking to me or giving me follow-ups. Customer services opened a new ticket with another technician whereby I was contacted again with the exact same result. On the 3de ticket they phoned back from the technical department to inform me there is nothing wrong with the unit as the model TV does not come with back light LED diming. Sent me an instruction letter whereby you can minimise the back light lighting of the LED's (which is called the MURA effect) changing certain settings to make the picture quality darker..... . This still did not help the situation with the white spots (mura effect) which is covering more than half of the screen and its only on certain places. Afterwards spoken to voice of complaints department which also ended up in saying the TV unit is fine and its NORMAL on these units as there is no diming function. You spend R17000 on what you think is going to be an awesome tv and then end up with this!! I would not recommend buying this TV to anyone. You should expect to get quality for this price and with them advertising they are the global no.1 tv for 18 years.... This whole process took Samsung 1 month and 3days to conclude. I am extremely disappointed in Samsung. Won't recommend anymore and will spread the word.
