DON'T BUY A SAMSUNG SMART TV
We purchased a new 55 inch Samsung Smart TV in August 2019.
In June 2020 we noticed the first defect - a vertical red line on the screen. The screen was replaced under warranty. Now less than a year later we have a large vertical shadow occupying almost a 1/4 of the screen. On 03 March (Last week Wednesday), I was in contact with Samsung. They sent me an SMS saying that a technical team will be in contact. I have 2 concerns: 1. It is now Monday and nobody has contacted us. 2. This is now the SECOND major defect. Yes, they are being attended to under warranty, HOWEVER, according to Samsung, repairs are only warranted for a much shorter period, ie two months. I believe that for such an expensive, SAMSUNG branded TV to have 2 major faults so early in it's life is a major concern. I have had TV's that have lasted 10 to 15 years without NO problems, ever! I believe this batch or series is likely to be faulty and problems to be recurring. I therefore request that I either receive a replacement TV or my money back.
