DON'T BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE THEIR SERVICE SUCKS

In Dec 2020 our dishwasher stopped working; we were referred to the Samsung approved repairer by the store at which we bought the machine. We live in Ladysmith KZN and the service provider is from Newcastle: TV and Video Repair specialists. 3 Dec 2020 the service provider came to the house and inspected the machine and diagnosed wiring that had been eaten by a rat; he then loaded the dishwasher to take back to his workshop. Needless to say we have not seen our dishwasher since! In March I lodged a complaint with Samsung South Africa; thereafter I was called by someone form Samsung who demanded to know why they were not aware of the incident (she stated that the store where we had bought the machine should have informed them). After checking that the person was indeed a Samsung approved service provider she then got him on the line, he proceeded to give all sorts pf excuses and to tell me that the machine was 'so badly damaged' he was not sure he would be able to repair it. I asked him why he had not informed us of this and he proceeded to tell me that he was 'trying all sorts of things' to fix it. To cut a long story short I instructed him to return the machine to the state it was in when he removed it from our premises. To date this has not happened. I tried contacting him today again but no answer.....
