Don't Trust that Warranty!!!!

Dear People,

Just here to give all Samsung Users a heads up. . I dropped my Note5 the other day and of course the LCD Screen no longer works. Not worrying too much as it is not yet a year old and I have not claimed on my ADH. I promptly take it to the Samsung Customer Care centre in Roodepoort to book it in.

I am requested to book it in and bring Proof of Purchase from my service provider, Telkom Mobile. I do this and hand deliver the document supp**** by Telkom within 2 working days, I am told that they would look at it for me and advise shortly.

To my shock I recieve a mail stating it was rejected as they are taking it from the time my contract was first started, almost 3 years ago?! When I query this I am told it is not Samsung but the peoply offering the warranty. I am sorry, but that is just not good enough. Samsung is offering this and thus should take responsibility for it! On declaring I do not have the more than R4000 to fix the screen I am simply told that I would need to pick the phone up within 5 days and pay R250 fee.. Thank you Samsung for taking care of me. Before I am told "it was in the T&C's that you signed" it was also in the T&C's that my phones screen would be fixed free of charge if it was damaged within the first year I bought it.

I used to only use and prompt Samsung cellphones since the D500, yes that long ago. But I'd buy an iPhone in a heartbeat and apologies to every iPhone user I asked to go Samsung. Look's like I'll be trading-in brands.

Sincerely,

Ex-Loyal Samsung User
