Do not buy samsung s8

We bought a brand new Samsung s8 three months ago, so last night while putting the protection cover back on, the screen lifted and cracked the corner, so we take it to samsung and they tell us when you buy the phone you are ment to call in and activate the phone warrenty, (no body at the cell shop explained that) so now the phone is otherwise under warrenty at all. And samsung told us when we did some home work before buying the phone there is a free screen replacement for the first year but now they tell us there is no such thing any more on the s8, when we ask the store we got the phone they said they were only notified on the 7th August about the no free screen story, the phone is only 3 months old and already a defect has come up and samsung refuses to sort it out but said they can replace the screen but it will cost us R7500, what is the point they sell a phone with a 2 year warrenty but when you take it in they are full of stories, great phone but really poor after care on it, how they can tell a client sorry we can't help even though the phone is only 3 months old is really bad service from Samsung, it's mentioned to be the best phone on the market but three month in it breaks no signs of dropping the phone no signs of damage just put a cover on and they refuse to help, they sold the phone with the pretence of replacing the screen free in one year but after you buy the phone they change their story, so unfair towards the clients, and I have only ever used samsung, even my watch is samsung, so hence the bad report towards samsung, so please buy any phone except samsung s8 because if you run into trouble they will not help at all and say it's not there problem
