DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG IF YOU EXPECT EXCELLENT OR ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE, SHOULD THINGS GO WRONG
This is what Samsung promises: Nothing matters more to us than the relationships that we've built with our customers.
What they deliver however: As loyal Samsung supporters for over 30 years, we replaced our 10 year old Samsung TV with a new one in July 2022. It started switching itself off every now and then and sometimes as many as three times in an hour. We duly reported it and they sent a technician out to check it. He reset it and couldn't find any fault. They then closed the case and we experienced the same issue again. To cut a long story short, after numerous and frustrating calls and communications, their technician has been to our house a whopping 4 times already (where we had to place our lives on hold for an entire day or morning as they don't give you an exact time) and with the matter escalated to their escalation dept. only after I gave a review here, they promised that the 4th time will be the last as the technician would've then written a report to their head office. Their customer service is so bad and they're so disorganized that they close 'cases' before a technician has even been and us only finding this out because they called to ask how our experience was with the imaginary technician which we never saw, sending us an email THREE times requesting the proof of purchase, which I duly sent them on the same date as they requested it etc. etc. etc. and etc. They just called us to say that their head office instructed the technician to come out for a FIFTH time as he didn't follow their instructions when he was here last.
Our answer to the person who called from their Escelation Dept. is a resounding NO!!!
Message to Samsung Managers and Directors who are all too busy or uninterested in providing excellent customer service or taking a call from disgruntled customers who have been severely inconvenienced and neglected: The only time we will allow another Samsung employee into our house is, when they exchange this, less than a year old TV for another. The Consumer Protection Act does NOT give you the right to trample on our consumer rights and it clearly states that you should replace or repair and we've given you FOUR opportunities for the latter and you're NOT entitled to a FIFTH.
I'll say this again, if you do not get back to us before the end of this week, with a date when you'll be replacing this obviously defective TV, we will make it out mission in life to inform the hundreds of our followers and will use all legal options open to us, in order to make you regret your decision to ever take your customer service to your valuable customers, so flippantly.
Thank you for bringing your query to our attention, we apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
We have noted your concerns and we are currently investigating the matter further.
Your complaint has been assigned to our escalations department and we will be in contact with you.
Kind Regards,
Samsung ZA

They have been out to try and 'fix' our TV which is faulty a whopping FOUR times, but doesn't want to replace it as they want to be given a FIFTH opportunity to try and fix it again. You will now be communicating via the Consumer Protection Board and you've lost a 30 year long Samsung customer. Well done on providing an excellent example of how to NOT provide customer service and how to NOT to retain loyal customers.

They take your money and run for the hills.
