Disgusting Service from Samsung.

After being a client of Samsung for many years today I have decided I will no longer support this brand. I have purchased many products from samasung incuding all their Galaxy s series phones and will not do so no more.

My wife dropped her S8 in December 2017 and the screen has slight damage on top right of screen. We have not had the time to take the phone in for a quotation for a repair so we can claim on our insurance. Yesterday the phone would not charge at all, so today she went to Constancia branch to get them to check why the phone was not charging as well as to get a quote for screen replacement today only to see it has been closed down until further notice.

She then went to Rivonia branch as they were open. Upon her arrival they told her she had to pay R200 for the phone to be assessed. I have never had to pay to have my phone assessed ever. Secondly they said because the phone has got a small crack on the screen my warranty on the phone is void, She then asked including its internal components and they said yes. WHAT?

I purchase a R15 000 cash and I get told i have no warranty because she dropped it of her lap to the floor and the screen is so weak it cracks in top right hand corner and it voids all warranties on the phone? what does charging have to do with the cracked screen?

You cannot even get a damage report and a replacement quote for the screen because you have to pay R200.00 for a damage report and quotation for replacement? what the hell is going on SAMSUNG. after my experiences with previous phones, I have never had to pay for quotes and damage reports. Nor have I every been asked for payment before you even look at my phone.

I am absolutley disgusted. I spend thousands of rands on getting your new phones each year to to have my wife treated like this? I was just about to purchase the S9, no thank you.

I want this matter resolved urgently, the charging of the phone must be looked at and repaired under the warranty I was afforded when I purchased this device. I request a formal quotation for the damaged glass so I can claim from insurance to have repaired as well.

Please treat this as urgent

Thanks
