COMPLAINT: REPAIR SERVICES ON SAMSUNG GEAR FIT2 PRO

My husband bought me a Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro last year (2018) from Dion Wired Menlyn. The strap broke towards the end of the year and I took it back to be replaced. They told me after 2months sitting with the watch that the strap is only under 6 month warranty and that I need to pay R500 for the strap to be replaced. This was in January 2019 and I paid the R500. Towards the end of March this year (2019) the strap broke off again and I took it to Dion Wired Centurion and they sent it off to the Technician that sits at Dion Wired Menlyn. After 6 weeks I had to call them asking for the status of fixing my watch and a week later they came back to me saying I need to pay another R500. When I explained that the workmanship initially was poor and I didnt see why i should pay another R500, they told me it was negligence on my side. I am still in the process of fighting this battle after almost 9 weeks because this watch is not cheap and I am expected to pay a R1000 extra is completely ridiculous. They used the excuse initially that the strap warranty is only valid for 6 months and when it broke the second time which is within the period of the 6 months, it was due to negligence on my side. I am disgusted for 1 by the service having to wait almost 2 months for feedback and only received information because I followed up and 2, for the ********* behaviour that it was good enough to use the warranty as an excuse the first time around and now that the warranty still stands after "fixing" it in January, it is good enough to blame me for negligence. I am dependent on my watch for exercising and monitoring my fitness levels and this has really set me back. I am put off with the bad service levels received apart from all the extra money that I paid and am still expected to pay.
