BEYOND ECONOMICAL REPAIR

<p>Hello Peter, I bought a ceramic oven and hob almost 3 years ago and now it is broken and I need to get it fixed by an approved samsung approved tech but it seems to be proving impossible. Their qoute makes the set beyond economical repair. To replace the glass is R2500 and replacing the touch pad is R1500, call out fee is R550 totaling to R4550. I bought this profduct for R7000 and fixing it doesnt make sense as their latest box set is R7999 at makro.<br /><br />I have tow problems and they are failing to understand me.</p> <p>1. I am not expectin them to fix it for me, I am also aware my warranty has expired but my concern is how do I pay R4550 to get just two parts added when I can get a NEW PRODUCT for almost R3499 difference. I'm sure if they sold the hob separately it would still not cost me this much for just a new one and which sounds like the best option from my view.</p> <p> </p> <p>2. My other concern is this, lets say i do get another box set and it brakes in a few years time again. Does it mean i cant have it repair because your replacements parts are very expensive over the price of the actuall product itself?</p> <p> </p> <p>I am so not happy because, I also have a samsung fridge, washing machine and microwave. Planning to get the Curve and sound bar but I am starting to feel that they do not consider the pricing factors for replacements parts vs the retail price for the product.</p>
