Beware of Firmware Upgrades! Note20 Ultra Stopped Working After Update

I was a huge fan of my Samsung Note20 Ultra until the latest firmware upgrade 27 March 2024 . The phone was working flawlessly, and I was enjoying its features and performance. However, after the update, the phone became completely unresponsive to my sim carrier or network. I tried , resetting it, I called on my Network provided to find out if my IMEI numbers has been blocked ,? but nothing worked.

I've had my device for 3 years. This past two day my phone will not connect to my carrier or any network. At home with wifi it works with wifi calling. Once I leave home or turn the wifi off , then the phone will not work to connect to my current Network all I see is a 🚫 where the signal bar use to be.

Can't get into the sim management as that is Grayed out…

-Not registered to a Network

- No incoming/outgoing calls or texts

-Phone is offline

I've tried: airplane mode on then off to reset, resetting network, rebooting, Turing wifi on then off, changing Sim from 5g to light, clearing cache, calling my carriers customer service ( everything was verified as working on their end, they think hardwire problem on my end) and then a last resort full factory reset. M

The upgrade essentially turned my premium device into a paperweight. I'm extremely disappointed in Samsung's quality control and testing process. How could they release an update that bricks the phone?

Until Samsung acknowledges and fixes this issue, I would advise against buying any flagship devise or updating your existing device. It's a shame, as the phone had so much potential.

I hope this review helps others make an informed decision. I'll be looking for a more reliable brand for my next device.
