Battery problems

I have decided to put my concerns and frustration to you in writing, as I get no joy from your branches/stores/outlets. I have a Samsung Note Edge model SM-N915FZKEXFA with Serial No. R28FC21EDEF (IMEI ********** ********** 5). During Sept 2016, I have approached your Tyger Valley store to enquire about my mobile phone’s problem – they told me that the battery is faulty. A new one would cost about R690. After complaining about the high cost so short after purchasing (upgrading) my phone, he offered to give it to me for R550 – I accepted. He would let me know as soon as the new battery would be available. I subsequently approached this gentleman at the Tyger Valley store several times after our first meeting, but without any joy. I since went away for the holiday season, keeping my phone on the power supply most of the time. On my return, I decided to take the matter further and approached your Canal Walk (Century City) branch this time. Your Tony there phoned somebody to enquire about a new battery. He also informed me that this particular model was taken off the market at some stage.

Batteries are also not (readily) available. Shocking as…

THIS MOBILE PHONE IS MY WORK; IT IS ALL I USE – TOTALLY DEPENDANT ON IT

He then suggested, and sent me to your Customer Smart Service Centre, situated in Park Lane, Century City. I spent 3 hours there while Chad Theunis assisted me in downloading the latest software – fortunately free of charge, as this phone is still under guarantee. He asked me whether I did backups; I confirmed that my photos were saved. He never enquired about my contacts, whatsapps and SMS’s.

He went into another room and on his return, I asked about my contacts. I know I have signed a document re loss of data etc, however, I feel he could have done enquiries from his side as well, giving correct advice re data, etc. That is proper client service, probing, in case your customer neglected something important that had to be considered a risk, eg. losing information. Nevertheless, I still sit with this problem of a faulty battery and nobody can help. Between a rock and a hard place, I cannot upgrade, I cannot get a new battery, I’m sitting without my clients’ details…

I’m taking this matter further, spreading the negative word; doubt whether I shall make use of Samsung products again.

(customer complaints about Samsung not reacting, look pretty bad)
